Mova V50 Ultra is the biggest sucker of CES 2025

CES 2025: That’s a good thing – it’s the highest suction rating we’ve ever seen

There’s always a few themes that ripple through the launches at a CES and this year is no exception… but I’m going to focus on one that I doubt many people have paid by attention to: robot vacuum suction ratings.

It was only two years ago that I described the Roborock’s S8 6,000Pa rating as “whopping” when it launched at CES 2023.

Fast forward to CES 2025 and we’ve seen numerous models hitting 20,000Pa or more – the likes of Roborock, Dreame and Eureka.

But it’s Chinese brand Mova that has stolen the crown as the biggest sucker with a staggering 24,000Pa suction rating on its new flagship, the Mova V50 Ultra.

The V50 Ultra not only boasts an incredible suction engine but also a wealth of high-end tech that we’ve seen as the standout features from other CES launches.

In answer to Dreame’s ProLeap system, the V50 Ultra has FlexiRise Navigation, where a dual mechanical arm expands to help it climb over 6cm steps; so, perfect for multi-level floorplans.

It’s also got RoboSwing FlexTrack tech too, to extend in to all corners:

Plus it can retract its LiDAR tower, much like the new Roborock Saros 10R, to fit under lower furniture:

One of the standout features though is the MopSwap Hub, which is integrated within the dock. It’s basically three specialized types of mop pads, which automatically swap on the robot itself, based on the floor surface, using an automated carousel system.

So you could have some pads for the tiles in the kitchen, some for the hardwood in the dining room and another for the vinyl in the kids’ playroom.

Finally, it also packs in a DuoSolution System; a dual cleaning compartment designed to eliminate pet odors.

On paper, it’s one of the most impressive robo cleaners I’ve ever covered. I can’t wait to test it to see if it lives up to its billing.

There’s no word on a launch date yet but we hear it will cost $1,699 when it goes on sale.

Mova also used CES to take the covers of a whole plethora of other robo cleaners including the Z50 Ultra, which boasts 36°C Thermostatic HydroSync Mopping tech, Real-time Mop Fluffing and Triple-Intelligence AI Sensing Tech that adapts cleaning strategies for varying dirt levels.

There was also news on the upright cleaning front with the X4 Pro going live.

It’s a wet and dry vacuum that achieves ten times the stain removal power thanks to a 80°C Hot Water Mopping and SpotHeat Spray Cleaning system.

You press a button to initiate a 10-second hot water spot spray, to tackle stubborn stains that have hardened on the floor.

Finally, and to prove there’s more to Mova than cleaning, the company revealed the Fresh Pro electric toothbrush, which blends sonic vibration with precise up-and-down and left-and-right scrubbing… for the first time, we’re informed.
