IFA 2024: Ninja Luxe Café headlines massive product rollout
IFA 2024 is in full swing over in Berlin with launches galore, and no more so than on the SharkNinja booth, where no fewer than 23 new products have been revealed.
The highlight of the launch bonanza was the new Ninja Luxe Café, a slick looking espresso coffee machine.
Coming in three models – Essential, Premier and Pro – the new coffee maker offers a range of coffee styles, so I’ve actually undersold it by calling it an espresso machine.
Speaking to Neil Shah, Shark Ninja’s CCO, at the Berlin expo, he explained that offering more than just espresso was a key objective for the brand in order to differentiate the Luxe Café from models already on the market.
He explained that espresso makers are actually very limited in that they can only really make variations of one drink, and that they wanted to put multiple coffee modes one machine.
And not just the style of coffee but froth types, sizes, temperatures, different types of milk and more – although you will have to opt for the Premier or Pro models to get the full range of options.
The Essential model will cost $499, which Shah explained may a premium price-tag for Ninja, but not premium for a market where machines are often well north or $1,000.
Shah also claimed that it will work with any beans, even supermarket longer life ones with no ‘roasted on’ dates stated.
Shark Cleaning Up
On the cleaning front, SharkNinja took the covers off of the new PowerDetect range, which consists of a plethora of different form factors, including a trio of new robot cleaner options.
Boasting the brilliantly-named NeverStuck technology, which lifts the robot up when on carpet to keep the mop away, and a NeverTouch Base (which you will actually have to touch every now and again) the Shark PowerDetect Robot features a 360 LiDAR and 3D sensors, Alexa integration and dirt, edge, wet and stain detect functions.
The three different models – NeverTouch Pro, NeverTouch and Self-Empty – all feature the same robot (available in black or white) – but the bases differ.
Away from cleaning, it wouldn’t be a SharkNinja launch party without a new air fryer, and we’ve got a pair of new Double Stack machines; one an XL model with a built-in temperature probe and also a slimline 7.6L model, designed to save kitchen counter space.
Staying in the kitchen and there’s also the new Ninja Slushi frozen drink maker, a Pro version of the popular Blast Max and an 8-in-1 multi-cooking machine dubbed PossibleCooker.
All of this new Ninja kit is set to land in the coming weeks, stay tuned for price information as we get it.
